30th dec 07, sundaymy body and spirit are feeling super lethargic! i managed to only slept for 1hr. was youtube-ing the previous night. complete moodless and waking up reluctantly. it's like dead corpse walking. got changed and prepared, cabbed to kranji to meetup with my dad's friend.
after 1hour of waiting, he appeared and drove us all the way to JB. the causeway was having a massive jam. really hates waiting in the car, under the scorching sun. burning sensation, perspiring like hell~.
soon after, we reached Malaysia. passing through various checkpoints was a hassle. i find it totally wasted of time. but that's wad security is all about anyway~.
driving along the crossroads and straight lanes in Malaysia, the streets and everything is so "malaysian" style. mega banners and advertising boards are all over the place. publicity in malaysia is pretty effective huh. laugh out loud.
decided to go shopping in a mega shopping mall named Jasco. Jasco is a terribly big shopping mall. it's like our Vivo City in Singapore. there were many shops in the mall.
was feeling a little hungry and we went to a fast food restaurant to have lunch. restaurants in malaysia are disgusting! they're so unhygienic! while eating my black pepper chicken steak, i saw a small cockroach actually creeping along the ledges of the wall, staring it with my peircing eyes, making doubly sure it didn't fall into my food or drink, in case it slipped.
it totally disgust me and made me wanna puke right after. bits of unclear and scrumps of food can be found in some corners of the restaurant. some 'skin' of the seats were torn, but not replaced. if it ever happens in Singapore, i'm 101% sure that restaurant gonna die so badly and will shut down.
we left as fast as we finished our food and continue our shopping. after finished roaming around this mall, we took up our pace, and drove to the next mall. on our way, we passed by some of the housing estates and their kampong houses.
ain't we lucky to have such wonderful and clean home? and sometimes we still complain further and took it for granted. they live such simple life, but they led happy lives, playing along with their neighbours, having fun.
we too saw a lane full of pubs, bars and cafes along.
was shopping in our third shopping mall called Johor Bahru City Square. this is absolute a shopping paradise for all teenagers. it's very alike with our current Bugis Street in Singapore, just that it's situated inside the mall with air-conditioner.
of course, that place is also filled with malaysian ahbengs and ahlians. their dressing sense are quite funny. it's very malaysian styled. do malaysia have pretty girls? coz i hardly see any. or is it my standards are too high? laugh out loud.
went shopping in a fashion boutique which sells high-end brands. they are having this year end sale with greatly profit in my shopping. things were considered relatively cheap compared to our prices in Singapore.
sadly to say, they do not have many designs that suited my taste. so therefore, i only managed to get myself 2 tees and 1 shades.
they have this shuffle competition which participants will compete with one another in shuffling, which can normally be seen in local clubs. what i've saw is that their shuffles standards weren't that good. i've seen much better pros shuffling in clubs. there were hip hop performances as well.
it's getting late and off we went to a street hawker for dinner. food there was sumptous and wonderful. had bbq chicken, stingray, satay, bah ku teh soup with rice etc etc for dinner. enjoyed every food.
dad's friend drove us back to Singapore. shopping was great and enjoyable. would love to come with friends in the future to shop till we drop. lol.
today was a very tiring day indeed.
